These Hibiscus were sketched in watercolour early one moring while exploring the beautiful cottages that are located in St George, Bermuda.  Early morning is the time for all of the tropical flowers to bloom fresh for the day. Their colours match perfectly the brightly painted cottages.
These quick sketches are the reference for larger paintings at a later date.

While in the Keys our breakfast always starts with fresh Papayas on the lanai. Something about the colour of this fruit just starts the day with a smile. Everywhere you walk you will see these papaya trees along the way. Papayas and Mangos are a staple of our daily diets there. It's all about the colour and the taste !
